The Sonja Henning Scholarship was established within the Racine Community Foundation in 2014. The scholarship honors Sonja Henning, an attorney and former collegiate and professional women's basketball player. Born in Jackson, Tennessee, she grew up in Racine, Wisconsin, where she attended Horlick High School. Applicants are nominated and selected by the athletic head coaches at Horlick High School. 

Criteria:

  • Be a senior at William Horlick High School

  • Pursue an undergraduate education at an accredited college, university or technical school

  • Have a minimum GPA of 3.5

  • Have lettered in two or more varsity sports during their high school career
