This scholarship fund was established in 2003 in honor of Alice Jane Sokol, a retired Racine Unified elementary teacher and an alumna of UW-Whitewater.

Criteria:

• Be a graduate of a Racine high school (public or private)

• Be enrolled at the University of Wisconsin–Whitewater

• Be entering his/her third or fourth year in the School of Education

• Demonstrate financial need
