Community Impact
Wanting to develop a broader relationship with the children and parents in their community - beyond calls for service - and lacking formalized programs to build those relationships, the Waterford Police Department sought the help of the Racine Community Foundation to fund the "Cops and Bobbers" program, originally created by the Wisconsin Cops and Kids Foundation "Cops and Bobbers" is, simply, cops teaching kids to fish. But through this wholesome activity, kids and police officers work toward a common goal, break down barriers, and develop positive attitudes, relationships, and trust.

Racine Community Foundation is a unique organization that operates as the center of service for donors and dozens of community organizations. In many ways, the RCF is the hub of a giant wheel that gathers intelligence on the long-term and emerging needs of the community, partners with those organizations that directly address and serve those needs, and stewards and distributes the charitable funds given to support those needs.

Working to serve the highest needs of both donors and the community, the Racine Community Foundation strives to continuously improve and enhance the quality of life for the people of Racine County and works to be the catalyst that inspires others to do the same.
